VITAE
The practice specialises in design of low
environmental impact buildings, with a broad and adaptive palette of materials,
structural systems and forms. The
practice also consults extensively on environmentally sound design and
construction techniques for architects, builders and owner builders.
The practice is experienced in such
construction forms as traditional joined timber frames (no nails, screws, bolts
or other fixings), straw bale building, rammed earth works, large section
marine grade structural Aluminium Alloy frames, recycled material and buildings
together with advanced electronic and cutting edge technology service systems.
The principal is a qualified building supervisor with
extensive investigative experience in residential construction inspections and
reporting for private clients and Government authorities. The principal has appeared for clients and given
professional evidence in court for a number of appellants before the Planning
and Appeals Tribunal and the Land and Environment
Court.
The principal is also a principal of the licensed
building company Wonders Building Company Pty. Ltd. And has actually
constructed numerous buildings in this role and is an experienced tradesperson
in carpentry, alloy fabrication and building.
The Company also undertakes construction management roles on larger programs and for owner builder clients.

Another BeachFront Dwelling on
Flinders Island
A large rambling house in a highly exposed and
isolated coastal region of Flinders island in Bass Strait. Locally sourced
quartz agregate and white cement Concrete base and frame and lots of glass for both passive solar performance and
to capture panoramic ocean views with surrounding sliding storm shutters of
adjustable louvred timber
Newtown Terrace Re-Build
Complete overhaul of a tiny terrace in the inner west of
Sydney to create a contemporary home refocussing the building to be centred
around a courtyard and pool and opening to the park and sun behind
Grays Point Dwelling
A large rambling dwelling as a series of Ecoshelta BigPod and
masonry pavilions down a hillside North easterly aspect lot overlooking the
harbour.
West End Beach House IV
Design and Construction of an off form local aggregate quartz
concrete dwelling with timber upper floor and extensive timber decking on the
ocean front at Bun Beeton's Point, Flinders Island

Ocean Front Dwelling on Flinders Island
Design and Frame construction of a large three winged house in an isolated
coastal region of Flinders island in Bass Strait. Concrete base with
lightweight alloy frame and lots of glass for both passive solar performance and
to capture panoramic ocean views. 2007-08
Mountaintop House in Southern Tasmania
Design and Construction of a large two storeyed masonry dwelling for an exposed
mountaintop site with massive views with passive solar design, a central
conservatory space looking out to a walled garden, loft style upper floor and
sheltered entry sequence.

three Ecoshelta bigpod pavilion for a holiday dwelling in the South West
